Bond Offer Open!

Ynni Teg have launched a new bond offer for their wind turbine in Meidrim, Carmarthen. This is their third bond offer in a series to raise capital for the turbine. Since being commissioned in August 2017, it has earned over £700,000 of income and saved over 2000 tonnes of Carbon Dioxide from reaching the atmosphere. They are seeking a further £400,000 through a new bond offer, which will refinance a commercial loan.

Jeremy Thorp, board member of Ynni Teg said:

Ynni Teg has been successfully operating our community owned wind turbine now for just over 3 years and we calculate it has already saved at least 2,000 tonnes of carbon dioxide from entering the atmosphere. We have been gradually refinancing our original commercial loan with bonds, to increase our surplus and enable us to give even more support to enable other community energy schemes to become established across Wales. Today we are launching our third bond offer to refinance more of our loan, so this is a chance for anyone to invest in community owned renewable energy, help reduce carbon emissions and earn interest. Please take a look at our bond offer document and we do hope you might decide to invest in us.
